COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE FOR RESTAURANTS

Understand where your restaurant's commercial activity is leaking.

Reservations, direct orders, delivery channels and repeat guests all contribute to restaurant performance. But activity across these channels does not always translate into commercially effective outcomes.

[COMPANY NAME] helps restaurants identify commercial leakage, understand its causes through evidence, implement agreed corrections and review adoption against defined measures.

01 / THE COMMERCIAL LANDSCAPE

Four connected channels.
One commercial picture.

A restaurant may generate substantial activity across several channels while lacking a reliable view of conversion, channel economics and repeat customer behaviour.

Reservations

Understand the journey from initial interest to confirmed reservation and attendance.

ENQUIRY → BOOKING → ATTENDANCE
02

Direct Ordering

Examine the path customers take when placing orders through the restaurant's own channels.

Delivery Economics

Examine delivery-channel mix, associated costs and the economics supported by available records.

Repeat Guests

Review customer capture, consent and the processes used to encourage repeat activity.

CAPTURE → FOLLOW-UP → RETURN
02 / WHERE LEAKAGE OCCURS

Activity is visible. Commercial performance may not be.

Without visibility across channels, activity volume can become the basis for decisions instead of conversion, contribution and repeat behaviour.

01

Dependence on delivery marketplaces

Third-party channels generate activity, but the restaurant may have limited visibility over channel economics and customer relationships.

02

Underdeveloped direct ordering

Customers encounter friction or fail to progress through the restaurant's own ordering journey.

03

Reservation and ordering friction

Unclear paths, inconsistent responses or avoidable process steps interrupt customer progression.

04

Repeat guests not systematically engaged

Customer information and consent may not support a consistent, measurable repeat-activity process.

05

Channel performance is difficult to compare

Different reporting methods can obscure the relative economics and progression of each channel.

!

The commercial question is not simply how much activity each channel generates. It is how reliably that activity progresses and what the available evidence says about its economics.

03 / THE DIAGNOSTIC

Establish what is happening before deciding what to fix.

The Diagnostic examines the restaurant's commercial journeys, available records and existing controls. Findings are grounded in the evidence made available for review.

REVIEW AREAS
  • Reservation and ordering journeys
  • Direct and third-party delivery activity
  • Delivery-margin economics
  • Customer capture and consent
  • Repeat-guest activity
  • Reservation, order and POS data
  • Public Google and review signals
  • Funnel measurement and tracking
  • Follow-up and retention workflows
QUESTIONS WE EXAMINE
  • Where do reservation and ordering journeys lose progression?
  • How does channel mix affect the economics of delivery activity?
  • What customer information is captured, and under what consent?
  • Can direct and third-party channel performance be compared?
  • What evidence exists about repeat guest behaviour?
  • Are current records sufficient to support reliable measurement?
POTENTIAL BASELINE INDICATORS

Measure what the available data can support.

Direct-order share Booking conversion Order conversion Delivery mix Repeat behaviour Review trends

Indicators are selected according to data availability, reliability and agreed scope. Estimates of commercial impact are made only where the evidence supports them.

04 / HOW THE WORK IS DELIVERED

One disciplined methodology.

The engagement moves from evidence to agreed corrections, then to a review of adoption and selected measures.

01 DIAGNOSTIC

Identify

Examine commercial journeys, channel activity, available records and existing controls to establish where leakage may be occurring and what the evidence supports.

08 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Clear expectations about scope, access and delivery.

Can you guarantee more direct orders or reservations?

No. We identify commercial leakage, examine its causes and implement agreed corrections. Results depend on the evidence, customer demand, market conditions and client execution.

Can you reduce our delivery marketplace commissions?

We can examine channel economics, delivery margins and available alternatives. We do not guarantee commission reductions or changes to third-party platform terms.

Do you manage advertising or social media campaigns?

No. Advertising, social media management, photography and campaign management are outside the defined service scope.

Will you replace our POS or ordering platform?

No. The work is designed around existing systems and supported configuration. Platform replacement and major migrations are excluded.

Is the Guest Revenue Loop available to every restaurant?

No. It is a selective, scoped engagement. Suitability depends on customer records, consent, available systems and the restaurant's requirements.

Will you contact our customers?

Customer communication is undertaken only where expressly agreed and authorised. Any customer-facing activity must follow the agreed consent and scope requirements. Ongoing campaign management is not included.

Do you manage Google reviews?

The Diagnostic may examine publicly available Google and review signals. Ongoing review management and response services are not included.

What information will we need to provide?

Requirements depend on the agreed scope. They may include reservation, order, POS, delivery-channel, customer and reporting records. Data requirements and access are agreed before work begins. Data quality affects the reliability of findings.

Can you work with restaurant groups?

Yes, where the operating structure, systems, data access and required scope are suitable. Multi-location work is qualified and scoped separately.

Do you visit the restaurant?

Engagements are delivered remotely. No site visit or on-site operational management is included by default.

How do we get started?

Start with an Intro Call. We discuss the restaurant, the commercial issue and whether a scoped Diagnostic is appropriate. If suitable, the scope, deliverables and investment are documented in a proposal.
